Privacy Policy for Survey Respondents

In the notice that follows, ‘us’, ‘our’ and ‘we’ refers to Labour Together LTD and all subsidiaries related to Labour Together

This is a shortened version of our privacy policy to help respondents to surveys conducted by us understand how we use your data. For our full privacy policy, please click here.

 

In the notice that follows, ‘pseudonymisation’ refers to: replacing information that directly or indirectly identifies an individual with one or more artificial identifiers or pseudonyms so that the person to whom the data relates cannot be identified without the use of additional information which is kept separately and securely.

 

You have the right to be informed about the collection and use of your personal data.

 

By agreeing to participate in this survey, you agree to us collecting the following personally identifiable information for only the purposes stated:

 

  • Postcode: for the purpose of ascertaining the constituency, local authority area and council ward you live in. We will never share your full postcode with anyone outside of Labour Together LTD. We may choose to share your postcode sector, consisting of the postcode district, the single space, and the first character of the inward code*.

 

*For example: SW1A 2AA, would be shared externally as “SW1A 2**”

 

You may decline to provide this information, or not complete the survey. However, if refusal to provide personally identifiable information means that your participation in the survey would not fit with our research objectives, you may not be able to participate.

 

By agreeing to participate in this survey, you agree to us collecting special category data for research purposes. This includes, but is not limited to:

 

  • Data on your political opinions

  • Data on your gender

  • Data on your ethnicity

  • Data on your sexual orientation

  • Data about your health

 

You do not have to give us this information – there will be a ‘prefer not to state’ option in any question that collects special category data or you can simply not complete the survey – and, if you do provide this information, we agree to treat it with full and proper confidentiality.

 

All data collected by us about you will be stored securely on our systems. Access to this data will only be granted to those within the organisation that require it for research purposes.

 

We will use your Information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and any other laws or regulations currently in force in the United Kingdom (the “Data Protection Legislation”). We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office as a data controller under the Data Protection Act 1998. If you feel that we have not processed your data in accordance with these standards, you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

 

Once we have collected all desired responses for a particular survey, we then pseudonymise and aggregate all the answers to the survey, and the summary information is passed to our client and / or published.

 

If you have any concerns about the data you have provided to us, or wish to withdraw any personally identifiable information, you can do so by emailing the following email address: info@labourtogether.co.uk.

 

You have the right to withdraw your agreement for us to hold and analyse your data. If you wish to withdraw your response after completing the survey. Please let us know, here: info@labourtogether.co.uk citing your full name, the portal through which you completed the survey and the email address attached to the account on that portal. Whilst we can commit to deleting any personally identifiable information from our database, we cannot guarantee that it will be possible to remove pseudonymised data we have collected from you, particularly in cases where this data has been shared externally.
